Sivler-Peak-Reno

Reno / Tahoe boasts a wide selection of restaurants including American dining from California eateries to micro-breweries.   Our Underground, Reno-local reviewers give you the straight scoop on where to eat in Reno, Nevada.  And yes... you can even eat outside of the hotels!

Tahoe's Top Brunches Our favorite Tahoe lakefront brunches.
Tattum's Restaurant / Market Upscale, quality sandwiches, soups, & salads with a "Napa feel".
D'Andrea Golf Course - Hugo's Grill Incredible golf course views of Reno with average food.
The Washoe Grill Classic steakhouse on Old Highway 40
LuLou's Restaurant Creative American cuisine - great quality, atmosphere, and service.  Highly recommended by our editors.
Silver Peak Brewery & Restaurant Awesome micro-brewery with rooftop patio, casual bar, and excellent food.
Deux Gros Nez - 786-9400

249 California Avenue

Vegetarian sandwiches in the "legal district" of California street near the downtown Reno hotels.  Featured entrees include the Mean Bean Deal - brown rice, beans, vegetables, cheeses, salsa, & tortillas.  Another great dish is the Sleeping Bag - polenta with spinach wrapped vegetables topped with a marinara sauce.   Highly recommended for alternative vegetarian cuisine.
Rapscallion Seafood Reno's number one seafood restaurant with mysterious elegance...
EJ's Jazz Cafe  324-9900

17 South Virginia Street

One of Reno's most unique dining experiences with spicy Cajun food on the Truckee River within a short walk or taxi from the downtown Reno hotel-casinos.  Live music nightly and outdoor dining in the summer.  Recommended although service can be spotty...
Louis Basque Corner  323-7203

301 East Fourth Street

Reno's most popular Basque restaurant, located under one mile east of the downtown Reno hotels.
Santa Fe "Hotel" Restaurant  323-1891

235 Lake Street near Harrah's Hotel

Nestled below the girth of Harrah's - the Santa Fe restaurant is a Reno Basque institution.  Family style food with a unique style from the old country.  Don't miss the dried cheese for dessert!  This building is very historic and unique for Reno.
The Brewhouse Restaurant Casual restaurant and bar operated by Cal Neva casino.
Johnny Rocket's Diner 1950's diner at the Reno Hilton.
